![]() ![]() I'm thinking of buying a classic controller and seeing if I can control HBC, but unsure if uninstalling that updated cIOS53-trucha.wad will repair my system menu. The apollo-ps3 homebrew app allows to download, unlock, patch and resign save. So far my Wii is bricked, despite being able to load my NAND backups. If you already have this installed there is not much point updating. ![]() My HBC does connect to the internet and tries to download 1.0.6, but I can't click "ok" as my wiimote won't work. I restored successfully to both 4.1U and 3.2U, but still cannot access my system menu, and cannot get my wiimote to link to HBC. I can access HBC 1.03, however my wiimotes (all four of them) will not sync, so I cannot re-load wadmanager to try to uninstall the IOS53-trucha.wad file. After installation, the channel is accessible from the Wii Menu just like any. Unfortunately I cannot boot to the Wii System menu, but can access bootmii restorer v0.6 via the SDCard. The Homebrew Channel is a self-updating (discontinued) application created by Team Twiizers, which allows users to easily load and use homebrew applications, without having to use exploits such as Bannerbomb or Twilight Hack every time they run a new application. ![]() I have a D2CKey, and boot2 installed, and backups of my NAND when it was 3.2U and 4.1U. I assume this is because I'm trying to launch from USB loader because the actual homebrew launcher channel says its running on ios58. The apps all show up there, except that when I launch an app, it errors out saying it doesn't have ios58 access. I haven't used my wii for months, and couldn't remember if this was the right way to update the system so I could play New Super Mario Bros. However, using the USB loader gx homebrew menu works. I was running 4.1U and tried to install cIOS53-trucha.wad via Wadmanager 1.5. I'm running everything off of a 2GB Kingston SD card, along with a 16GB Transcend USB drive for games (I'm aware that harddrives are more reliable, but I don't have the funds to buy one atm).I have the same problem as shaq. It's running Homebrew Channel 1.1.0 with IOS58 v24.32. If you do not have an SD card, you cannot install nor use BootMii, regardless of whether you install it as IOS or boot2. My Wii is a European console (PAL), running 4.3E. I have no idea whether or not the Homebrew Browser even works anymore, but my guess is that it doesn't? When it crashes, the Wiimote vibrates constantly and it gives me an "Exception (DSI) occurred!" error. ![]() If your Wii does not have an Internet connection, then I can post other steps in the comments at your request. Next, make sure your Wii is connected to the internet. Move that folder to the 'apps' folder on your SD card or USB drive that you're using to load homebrew apps. The only channel that works is the Homebrew Browser, however there are no icons for the downloads, all of the dates are on, and all of the downloadable files are 0.0 megabytes big. Inside that 'apps' folder is a 'd2x-cios-installer' folder. It works with a Gamecube controller, but I'd prefer for it to work with a Wiimote (which it has in the past) because it'd be more convenient. When I push a button on the Wiimote, it (sometimes) flashes as if you pressed a button when the Wii is turned off, and then it turns off. One thing I've noticed is that I can load the Homebrew Channel without any problems, but as soon as I open anything inside of it (USB Loader GX, Tinyload, Wiiflow, WAD Manager, you name it), the Wiimote stops working entirely. I recently dusted off my Wii after not touching it for a few years. ![]()
